Join local author-illustrator, Amanda Davis, as she celebrates the release of her latest picture book, SOMETIMES STORMY: A STORY ABOUT FINDING CALM AND STAYING SAFE WHEN SOMEONE YOU LOVE DRINKS TOO MUCH. This event will feature a family story time and book talk with the author about how to use picture books to discuss essential topics with children.
Carmen Barefield (she/her) is a poet and writer living in Salem, Massachusetts. She is a fellow of Roots. Wounds. Words. and The Watering Hole. She was also longlisted for the 2025 Massachusetts Poetry Festival’s First Poem Contest.
