For The Record: An Evening with CHNL

Join CHNL at Just Bookish for an evening centered around print, archives, and the process behind CHNL Issue 001.  The night will feature a live conversation with members of the CHNL team reflecting on the making of the magazine. From the interviews and photography to the design decisions that shaped the final publication. The conversation will also spotlight CHNL Art Director Achan, whose work served as the visual foundation for the first issue.  Throughout the evening, guests are invited to participate in a small community archiving workshop. Attendees are encouraged to bring a photograph, negative, printed image, personal favorite magazine, or other meaningful artifacts that represents a moment worth preserving. Selected materials can be scanned on site as part of a shared archival effort being developed by CHNL.  The evening will also mark the final public release of CHNL Issue 001, with the remaining copies available exclusively at the event.  The night will include…
