About the event
July 25 is the International Day of Women of African Descent. Founded by the RMAAD Red de Mujeres Afrolatinoamericanas, Afrocaribeans y de la Diaapora, this day commemorates the historic meeting of Afro-descendant women from the African Diaspora, in the Dominican Republic on July 25, 1992. The day aims to celebrate the contributions of Women of African descent and to uplift our collective voices for justice and liberation. During this event we will share the short film: 30th Anniversary of Network RMAAD: La Red de Mujeres Afrolatinoamericanas, Afrocaribeñas y de la Diáspora.
Followed by a celebratory panel discussion with Afro-Latinas leaders in Boston.
