About the event

Poetry Reading & Author Talk: Writing Through Evolving Place

Join us for an author talk with three acclaimed poets. Sonia Aggarwal, Aishvarya Arora, and Livia Meneghin will all read from their poetry and then engage in conversation. They will consider the intricacies of how place is both destroyed and created through the physical world and the poet’s imagined world, what that means for the poet’s relationship to place, and how the poet locates themselves physically, imaginatively, and literally. An evening you won't want to miss!

Aishvarya Arora is a poet, teaching artist, and cultural organizer from Queens, NY. Their chapbook Mr. Time won the Gold Line Press Poetry Contest and will be published in 2026. Their writing has appeared in, or is forthcoming from, Poetry, The Kenyon Review, Gulf Coast, Poetry Northwest, and Foglifter, among others. Currently, they live in Ithaca, NY, where they are a lecturer in creative writing at Cornell…
