Educators are experiencing the burn of a hostile environment in their classroom and in society because they believe in justice and inclusivity are being called to show up in powerful, authentic ways. Sometimes we have to not only walk but write through the fire to document how we are experiencing the world inside and outside of the classroom through writing. This reflective and community based workshop invites educators to explore how writing can serve as a courageous response to the concerns and contradictions of our current American landscape.


Through guided exercises, discussion, and practical strategies, participants will learn to cultivate the power of written expression to speak out, build connection, and process emotion — all while honoring the deep need for self-care.
